Field Trip - Bat Cave, Air Itam ,Penang

Our school took a first ever field trip to Bat Cave after learning about Bats, Fish, Tortise and Alligator. The children were transported by two cars. We departed from school at 10am. Here we all are...very hard to get the little ones to focus though, they were too excited to explore the place.

We began with a walk from the entrance and helped our selves out at the cave . While we were walking, I posed a few questions for the children to keep observing things around them. Can you spot bats ? Can you see tortise ? What type of fish is this ? They had a blast with this! We had egg sandwiches, nuggets and children's favourite drinks.

The children helped packed the things and put in the picnic basket. This activity was a favourite for them. We truly experiencing fun time with each other and the children have chance get in touch with nature.

The day ended with a smile. We had a great day and perfect weather. We're already planning our next trip in July.

Happy Mother's Day

Mothers Day Poems

M - O - T - H - E - R Mothers Day Poems
"M" is for the million things she gave me,
"O" means only that she's growing old,
"T" is for the tears she shed to save me,
"H" is for her heart of purest gold;
"E" is for her eyes, with love-light shining,
"R" means right, and right she'll always be,
Put them all together, they spell
"MOTHER,"

Only One Mother
Hundreds of stars in the pretty sky,
Hundreds of shells on the shore together,
Hundreds of birds that go singing by,
Hundreds of lambs in the sunny weather.
Hundreds of dewdrops to greet the dawn,
Hundreds of bees in the purple clover,
Hundreds of butterflies on the lawn,
But only one mother the world wide over.

Wonderful Mother
God made a wonderful mother,
A mother who never grows old;
He made her smile of the sunshine,
And He moulded her heart of pure gold;
In her eyes He placed bright shining stars,
In her cheeks fair roses you see;
God made a wonderful mother,
And He gave that dear mother to me.

Mothers' Day Celebration

Mother's Day Celebrations
Mothers Day is celebrated with lot of enthusiasm in over 46 countries across the globe. Though Mothers Day celebrations take place at different times around the world what is remarkably same are the feelings with which people celebrate Mothers Day. This is so because mothers are as caring in East as they are in the West. The difference between mothers from one part of the world to the other simply does not exist and so are the feelings of children. All over the world people love to celebrate Mothers Day with their mothers and shower love on them.

Commercialisation of Mothers Day
The festival of Mothers Day is based on the emotions shared between mother and a child and marketers make all efforts to convert the sentiments into profit. Rigorous advertising campaigns are launched days before the festival to lure people so that they spend more money on the day. Though this helps to promote Mothers Day and raise awareness about it, but somewhere along the line the noble ideas behind the celebration of Mothers Day get lost and what remains is the formality to exchange gifts. Founder of Mothers Day, Anna Jarvis was particularly annoyed with the high level of commercialisation of Mothers Day in US.

Happy Teacher's Day

Teachers are generous people. Throughout the school year, they spend countless hours preparing teaching materials, decorating classrooms and volunteering their personal time to attend parent-teacher meetings and special events - not to mention digging into their own pockets for special stationeries, stickers and goodies for children. Does this sound like you ? If yes, give yourself a big clap and that of all the things that you do...you deserve a day specially dedicated to you!!
Parents, sending your appreciation shows that you and your child appreciate the little things she does to make school enjoyable. Here’s a shout out to teachers everywhere including my terrific teachers ! You are the best and enjoy the week. HAPPY TEACHER'S DAY!!

I know Mother's Day is around the corner but I'm just getting a little bit over too excited over here that really makes me want to post this banner up for you to see....
